The Latest Breaking News from Audemars Piguet

The oversized Royal Oak Offshore, fondly nicknamed by collectors "The Beast", debuted in 1993 when smaller watches were all the rage. Just like in the fairy tale, the beast turns out to be a prince in Audemars Piguet's universe.

Since 2015, Audemars Piguet has advanced haute horlogerie with a series of innovations, starting with the Supersonnerie technology (RD#1). An ultra-thin perpetual calendar movement (RD#2) followed in 2018, and an oscillator with increased amplitude (RD#3) was unveiled last year.

Three Masters of Time agilely move on rotating discs in the middle of intergalactic space in the launch film of Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet Starwheel. Orange-clad characters assemble the new watch by synchronising their movements in a playful universe imagined by French artist Ugo Gattoni.

At the 1972 edition of the Swiss Watch Fair in Basel, Audemars Piguet introduced the revolutionary Royak Oak in stainless steel armour protecting the thinnest self-winding mechanical movement of its era. Because of its hefty price tag, steel was ennobled with the same status as gold.
