A vacant former meatpacking plant in Fresno, California, was transformed into a $6.27 million community food hub after years of environmental planning and cleanup. Opened in May 2024, the 6,800-square-foot Saint Rest + Food to Share Hub provides food distribution, nutrition education and community programmes, while helping create 51 jobs.
