DALLAS — Emboldened by another sweep of statewide offices and firm control of the Legislature, Texas Republicans are poised to implement right-of-center policies designed to keep the Lone Star State a bastion of Trump-era conservatism.

Patrick will get another four years leading the Texas Senate, one of the state’s most powerful positions.

Laws banning the state from doing business with banks that are dubbed anti-fossil fuel or anti-gun could cost 100s of millions in interest.
