Prema Racing became the latest team to declare a full-time commitment to North America’s premier open-wheel championship, announcing on Tuesday intent to field two entries for 2025.

The most successful junior single-seater team of recent years on the European ladder announced this week that it will combine its programmes in Formula 2, Formula 3, the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine and various Formula 4 championships with a move into the US open-wheel scene next year.

Its expansion into North America's premier open-wheel championship is a notable move for one of the most successful junior formula programmes in history, which has 80 titles and counting over its 40 years in operation.

The Prema Racing driver drove a smart race, waiting until the second half of the 23-lap journey to make a move and in the end establishing a telling lead over Leonardo Fornaroli.

In the all-female support series, the 20-year-old Frenchwoman will drive a Mercedes-liveried car run by Prema, the team she runs with in sportscars and Formula 4.
