Six laps -- that was all Robert Shwartzman had on Day 1 of practice at Indianapolis Motor Speedway after his team, Prema Racing, struggled to prepare the cars for him and his teammate Callum Ilott.
It seemed that the rookie team and driver, who each had almost zero oval experience, would only see a continuation of the problems that had affected them throughout the first five races of the year. However, they were able to make steady improvements through each practice session.
