The Uttarakhand police has booked Manmeet Rawat, a journalist with Hindi daily Dainik Bhaskar,  over his May 15 report on the overwhelming crowd and the “death of 10 devotees in four days” enroute Chardham or the state’s four major pilgrimage sites – Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. 

The doors of the Badrinath temple in the Garhwal Himalayas in Uttarakhand opened for devotees on May 12 after remaining closed during the winter season.

To ensure a safe and secure Char Dham yatra, scheduled to commence on May 10, Uttarakhand police have deployed forces, separately at all four Dhams on the yatra routes. Read further on Dynamite News:
