The wait is almost over for the return of Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson. Per head coach Kevin O’Connell, the Vikings are activating Jefferson from injured reserve on Tuesday.
All indications are that Jefferson will play on Sunday, December 10th against the Las Vegas Raiders. It’s much needed for a Vikings team that entered the bye week losing two games in a row.
Overall, the Vikings won the first five games without Jefferson but as time went on, it became evident that they needed him back to stress out defenses. The passing game has suffered massively over the last two weeks without Jefferson, especially in the intermediate and deep levels.
Jefferson will have nine weeks between his last game played and his next one against the Raiders. The Vikings are primed to be set for the next five games heading into a potential playoff berth.
Buckle in, it’s going to be a fun finish.
