Tottenham have been given a major boost by the return of Eric Dier against Chelsea.
Dier has not played since the New Year’s Day win at Watford due to a muscle problem but the defender is fit again and starts at Stamford Bridge.
Dier lines up in a back three alongside Japhey Tanganga and Davinson Sanchez
Steven Bergwijn starts after his heroics away against Leicester on Wednesday when he scored twice in injury time to secure a dramatic 3-2 win.
Bergwijn is one of four changes made to the team which started that last-gasp victory at the King Power Stadium, with Dier, Matt Doherty and Ryan Sessegnon handed starts at Stamford Bridge.
Oliver Skipp, Emerson Royal, Lucas and Sergio Reguilon all drop to the bench.
Dele Alli has been left out of Spurs squad as speculation grows that the midfield could leave the club on loan before the January transfer window closes.
There is also no place in the squad for Tanguy Ndombele or Giovani Lo Celso.
Tottenham confirmed XI: Lloris, Doherty, Tanganga, Dier, Sanchez, Davies, Winks, Hojbjerg, Bergwijn, Sessegnon, Kane.
