Time capsule Bristol house for sale for first time in more than 80 years

A Bristol house has been put on the market for the first time since the 1940s. The most recent owner had lived at the Hengrove home for more than 80 years.

The house on Hengrove Lane is being marketed by MG estate agents as ‘a striking 3-bed terraced home bursting with potential’. It’s also close to local amenities, a primary school and there's a sports ground in proximity.

With its stunning arched entrance and front door, the property has an abundance of original features from when it was built in the 1930s. These include alcove shelving, ceiling roses and original kitchen features such as fitted pantry cupboard and larder cupboard.

Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, two of which are doubles, and a bathroom. There is a large front garden and a tiered garden at the back.

According to Kat Wills, marketing manager of MG Estate Agents of Whitchurch, the previous owner lived at the house until she was 104.

“The previous owners didn’t have any children but we understand the couple were very active into their old age. They were keen travellers and went on many adventures around the world.
