Thousands of free cinema tickets available for new Christmas film in Bristol

Thousands of free cinema tickets are being handed out to local communities across the UK, including Bristol, for a screening of the Nativity story. Some 25,000 tickets to see the premiere of brand new Christmas film 'Why the Nativity?' are being dished out by the film's creator Turning Point Ministries as a way of treating families to a Christmassy outing as many struggle with the current economic climate.

The film, which tells the story of the first Christmas - much like many a school Nativity play - will be screening on Saturday, December 3, at 10am in more than 100 Cineworld cinemas across the country. Tickets are still available for screenings at cinemas in Hengrove, Yate and Weston-super-Mare. All you have to do is book your free tickets online here or call 0800 058 2856. You can book up to 10 tickets at a time online, or more via phone.

The synopsis of the new film reads: "Travel back in time and experience the sights and sounds of that first Christmas. You’ll have a front-row seat to the Nativity story as you witness the Old Testament prophets foretelling the birth of Jesus, Gabriel appearing to Mary, Joseph and Mary traveling the road to the crowded city of Bethlehem, angels appearing to shepherds, the brilliant star guiding the Wise Men from the East, and baby Jesus lying in a manger in a humble stable in Bethlehem.

Still from new Christmas film 'Why the Nativity?' (Turning Point Ministries)

"'Why the Nativity?' is a fascinating presentation of biblical history with stunning visual dramatics creating an unforgettable journey through the wonders of Christmas!"
