Villarreal and AS Roma are reportedly the clubs at the 'top of the list' surrounding a possible transfer move for Rangers midfielder Nico Raskin.
The Ibrox ace has been touted for a move this summer after his exploits at the World Cup with Belgium.
Derek McInnes has accepted there may be interest in the 25-year-old, who has two years left on his Rangers contract.
Now, VoetbalKrant reports that Villarreal and Roma are the two leading clubs for a possible summer transfer swoop, amid "plenty of options" for Raskin.
It's claimed the La Liga side holds a slight edge over Roma ahead of any transfer activity for Raskin this summer.
Asked whether Raskin would have a part to play in the league opener against Dundee United on Friday night, McInnes said: "Not for the opening part of the season he won’t but going forward…
"Obviously Nico might be subject to some interest, we're well aware of that, and we always thought he could be a flight risk this summer in the back of the World Cup.
"So we've reinforced the midfield area, but obviously if nothing comes in for Nico then he's another good player to add to it.
"The one area of the pitch where I'm really strong is through the middle of the park just now. Nico will be back this week, but he won't come into contention for the game on Friday, he's not going to do enough training ahead of that.
"And I think after as many games played, World Cup exploits, we never planed for Nico to be back for Dundee United, but there will be good options in there, and it's an area of the team we're quite strong."
