Saturday Night Takeaway fans complain about game as Ant and Dec apologise

Ant and Dec issued an apology to Saturday Night Takeaway viewers after bringing back their Ring My Bell game in the latest show. The Geordie duo were hosting another episode of the hit ITV show on Saturday night (March 4) when they issued an apology on social media, reports Birmingham Live.

Introducing the popular segment on the show, Dec explained: "You know how this works now. We're going to go live to doorbell views belonging to our lovely audience. If it's yours, get up on your feet and shout," as Ant replied: "Ding dong, that's my doorbell."

But viewers at home hit out as they said the sound of the doorbell was making their dogs go wild. Taking to Twitter just minutes into the show, the official Saturday Night Takeaway account posted: "We would like to apologise in advance to all the doggos across the country who don't like this part of the episode #SaturdayNightTakeaway."

Viewers were quick to share snaps of their pet pooches running around the house due to the doorbells going off. Some even called for the game to be scrapped permanently.

Lenny James wrote: "#SaturdayNightTakeaway cheers, dogs gone bonkers. #RingMyBell"

Hayley Lee commented: "This ring my doorbell game is setting my dog off thinking it’s our ring doorbell #SaturdayNightTakeaway."

Alison O'brien echoed: "Omg everytime the doorbell goes on @antanddec #SaturdayNightTakeaway the dog goes nuts and runs to the door barking."

Victoria Wilshaw added: "This ring my bell game is sending my dog nuts #SaturdayNightTakeaway."
