Panthers have parted ways with VP of player personnel Adrian Wilson

The Carolina Panthers have quietly made another adjustment to their reconstructed front office.

As noted by Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio on Sunday, the organization has parted ways with vice president of player personnel Adrian Wilson. A team spokesperson provided the following statement to PFT this morning:

“Adrian Wilson will not continue in his position as Vice President of Player Personnel for the Carolina Panthers. Consistent with our organizational policy on employee matters, we will have no further comment.”

Wilson, who was hired to the position in February of 2023, came back to his home state with eight years of experience as a league executive. The High Point, N.C. native and NC State product served in numerous roles for the Arizona Cardinals between 2015 and 2022—including as a regional scout, director of pro scouting and vice president of pro scouting.

A third-round pick of the Cardinals in 2001, Wilson played all 12 of his NFL seasons in Arizona. The decorated safety ended up with five Pro Bowl selections, one First-team All-Pro nod, two Second-team All-Pro nods and a spot in the franchise’s Ring of Honor.
