Manchester United supporters are demanding that Erik ten Hag names David de Gea as his new captain following an explosive final day outburst. De Gea and Cristiano Ronaldo have been two standouts for United in what will go down as an otherwise disastrous season.
Change is on the horizon as Ten Hag prepares to arrive at Old Trafford after watching from the stands at Selhurst Park on Sunday afternoon. Wilfried Zaha netted the winner for Crystal Palace against his former club and De Gea was not a happy man post-match - despite Europa League qualification being confirmed.
United were beaten for the 12th time in the Premier League this campaign as Ten Hag goes about his much-needed rebuild. De Gea will no doubt form part of his plans, especially given that Dean Henderson is on the verge of a summer transfer to Saudi-backed Newcastle.
