The countdown to Christmas begins in Mansfield on Sunday November 27 with a full day of entertainment before the big switch-on after dark. The fun starts from 10am with a Christmas market on West Gate, reindeers and elves on stilts, a roller skating bauble entertainer and a giant interactive snow globe.
Santa will be in his grotto in the Four Seasons shopping centre, where there will be festive activities throughout the day including meet and greets with Sonic the Hedgehog.
The big switch on is back with a retro Christmas party vibe, in Mansfield Market Place from 3pm, with a stage show hosted by Mansfield 103.2. No tickets are required and admission is free.

Nineties boy band East 17 will headline. The band, famous for hits such as Stay Another Day will perform a 30-minute set from 4.30pm in the run up to the lights being switched on. The group, named after the postcode of the East London district in which they grew up, notched up 18 top-20 singles and four top-10 albums in the 1990s.
The band is currently represented by founding member Terry Coldwell as well as Robby Craig. Other famous hits are House of Love, Deep, and It's Alright.
There will be other performances from Suki Soul and Ollie Hayes plus special guest appearances by Sonic the Hedgehog and a dance competition for the chance to win prizes, Jono Edwards and Miss Margo for crowd karaoke and a Christmas party with Jono Edwards, Santa and the elves.
The lights will be switched on by East 17 and Santa at 5pm, followed by a spectacular firework display. Parking is available at the Four Seasons Car Park but it will close at 6pm so visitors are reminded to leave promptly after the show.
