The Israel Defense Forces have reported an escalation in their operational activities in various parts of Gaza, particularly in eastern Rafah and Zeitoun in central Gaza. Troops have intensified their presence in these areas, conducting operations and targeting terrorist infrastructure.
In Zeitoun, the IDF discovered a significant cache of weapons and engaged in close-quarters combat with terrorists. The troops uncovered AK-47 rifles, military vests, and other weapons hidden inside a clinic. Additionally, airstrikes were carried out on multiple terror targets across the Gaza Strip, including military structures, launch posts, and observation posts.
Furthermore, the Israeli military ordered the immediate evacuation of several neighborhoods in northern Gaza and expanded the evacuation to more areas in eastern Rafah. The IDF has been actively combating Hamas terrorists and dismantling their infrastructure in these regions.
Tragically, the recent Israeli airstrikes in northern and central Gaza resulted in the deaths of at least 47 individuals, including children, as reported by local hospitals. The IDF's operations in eastern Rafah have led to the elimination of numerous terrorists in close-quarters combat and the discovery of underground tunnel shafts near the Rafah crossing into Egypt.
