David de Gea squared up to Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold just four minutes into Manchester United's visit to Anfield on Tuesday night.
The incident occurred in the aftermath of the hosts opening goal, as United were cut open by some neat midfield play before the ball was rolled into the path of January signing Luis Diaz who made no mistake from close range. After the Colombian had slotted past the onrushing Spaniard, the ball trickled back out to Alexander-Arnold.
The England international booted the ball back into the United net in celebration, but accidently struck the United goalkeeper in the face while he was still reeling from conceding. This inevitably sparked outrage from De Gea, who responded by turning round to square up with Alexander-Arnold.
