Nottingham Forest are one of the clubs to be credited with an interest in Chaves full-back Bruno Langa ahead of the summer transfer window, with the club president admitting that he could be ‘prepared’ to sell the defender.
The 25-year-old has played a total of 25 times for the Portuguese club so far this season, and has emerged as a key player for the side. Chaves currently sit in 10th place in the Primeira Liga, and overcame Benfica 1-0 in their last outing on Saturday afternoon.
Langa played the full 90 minutes of that game in the left-back position. He also has 11 international caps for Mozambique, having made his debut for the nation in 2016 as a 19-year-old.

Last month, OJogo reported that Forest were one of a few clubs keeping an eye on the player ahead of the summer window opening. Leeds United, Lille and Benfica are named as three other clubs who Langa has been ‘attracting attention’ from this season.
Chaves president Francisco Carvalho has now hinted that a move away from the club could be on the cards for the defender, should the right offer for the club come in. The chief addressed the future of both Langa and teammate Joao Correia, who is also attracting interest.
“Some players are greedy for some clubs, mainly Bruno Langa and João Correia,” he told ZeroZero . “We always have to be prepared for any player to leave.”
Langa joined Chaves on a free transfer from fellow Portuguese side Amora in the summer of 2021. He played just three times for his previous club, but has also played for Vitoria’s U23s and Mozambique side Black Bulls on loan.
If Forest make a move could potentially depend on the league they find themselves in next season. The club are likely to have different transfer plans for the Premier League and the Championship.
