The Cleveland Browns held their first padded practice of the year on Monday, their fourth training camp practice overall. Cleveland was without two of their talented young lineman, with right tackle Dawand Jones and rookie defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. absent from practice.
After practice, head coach Kevin Stefanski discussed the pair, saying they would be back “shortly” and that their injuries were not serious. Earlier in the day, the team placed veteran center Brian Allen on injured reserve, so it is important to avoid another injury on the offensive line this early.
Jones is the only offensive tackle practicing out of their top three. Jedrick Wills Jr. and Jack Conklin are still sidelined with their knee injuries, which ended their seasons early in 2023.
Hall, the Browns’ second-round pick this year, has turned some heads in practice with his rare athleticism at his size. Cleveland will be back on the practice field on Tuesday as they continue to prepare for the 2024 season.
