Bengals and Browns list key defenders on final injury report

There isn’t a shocker on the final injury report as the Cincinnati Bengals get ready to take on the Cleveland Browns in the season opener.

Those Bengals, like the Browns, will be down a key defender as Joseph Ossai will miss the game due to the ankle injury suffered in the preseason finale.

The Browns could miss safety Juan Thornhill, who missed the final two days of practice and is listed as questionable.

By the time the final injury report had been revealed, the Bengals had already confirmed Joe Burrow will start and the Browns had confirmed that starting cornerback Denzel Ward had cleared concussion protocol and is good to go.

While the Bengals will be down a key element of the pass rush, Ossai did look to be moving closer to a full-go in practice and could be back for Week 2.
