Viewers of Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway were left 'crying their eyes out' whilst watching the show this evening as a young girl surprised her step-dad by asking him to adopt her live on TV.
Near the start of the ITV show, the Geordie duo introduced their 'Ask Cam' segment where members of the audience could ask loved ones important questions live on the show.
One member of the audience asked his brothers to be his best man and then the camera panned to married couple Nick and Katie, who were invited down to the stage for their big question.
As the couple took their seat on the sofa with the show hosts, Katie's daughter Rhianna came on the stage to ask her step-dad a very important question.
Rhianna explained that her father had sadly passed away before she was born and that Nick meant a lot to her.
It wasn't long before Nick was in tears as the family and audience were shown an 'adoption proposal' with the help of drones that had been lit up in the sky outside the studio which lit up the words 'Adopt me?'
Nick hugged the teen and of course accepted.
And fans at home were overcome with emotion as they watched the sweet moment, many took to Twitter to talk about it.
One wrote: "That was absolutely amazing what they did on @itvtakeaway as a foster child that made me tear up what an amazing moment for that family."
Another added: "Wow I’m a grown a** man sat here crying my eyes out what a question to ask a special person! #SNT 'Will you adopt me?' Such a special moment and so wholesome. Top Man."
While one penned: "Just cried my eyes out at #SaturdayNightTakeaway at the adoption proposal. Makes me miss my dad so much but at the same time I’ve never been short of father figures so despite this huge loss I’m still so lucky."
Another added: "Omg I was not prepared for that @itvtakeaway @antanddec congratulations to the family on the adoption xx."
