The Cleveland Browns have placed rookie defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. to Injured Reserve.
Hall Jr., who suffered a knee injury in practice on Thursday, was then ruled out in the team’s Week 11 matchup against the New Orleans Saints. Head coach Kevin Stefanski stated during his media availability that Hall Jr. was a candidate for IR at that point. That nightmare has now become a reality.
To fill his roster spot, the Browns have already signed another defensive tackle off of their practice squad in the form of Sam Kamara. However, sitting at 2-7, the Browns need to get their young players snaps to evaluate them.
Losing their highest draft pick in the last three years for at least four weeks is a massive loss of opportunity. Especially for a player who started his NFL career with a five-game suspension.
Can the Browns overcome yet another defensive injury to beat the struggling Saints?
