Alison Hammond announced as new Great British Bake Off co-host

Alison Hammond has confirmed that she will become the brand-new co-host for beloved Channel 4 show, The Great British Bake Off.

The 48-year-old This Morning presenter will replace Matt Lucas for the duty, joining comedian Noel Fielding for the new season of the widely-watched baking show.

It comes after Lucas announced that he was stepping down from his presenting role back in December, stating he was no longer able to commit to the programme through his other ongoing projects.
