Aaron Chalmers wins his first professional boxing fight as Tyson Fury watches on

Geordie Shore's Aaron Chalmers won his first professional fight after beating Alexander Zeledon at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool.

In the four-round Middleweight bout, Chalmers nullified the threat of the Nicaraguan who had six wins and 28 defeats in his professional career. In the third, the former Geordie Shore star unleashed a flurry of punches which had fight fans on their feet.

He couldn't manage a highlight-reel moment although came close in the dying seconds of the fight with the 32-year-old against the ropes. But Chalmers won the fight on points with the judge's scoring the fight 39-37.

Chalmers was making his professional boxing debut after making the switch from MMA where he fought on Bamma and Bellator. The Geordie Shore star had five wins and two losses on his record in Mixed Martial Arts before making the switch over from the Octagon.

The 35-year-old was making his bow against Nicaraguan journeyman Zeledon at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool. The co-main event saw Sunderland's Josh Kelly beat Hungary's Peter Kramer with an emphatic fourth-round stoppage.

Nathan Gorman sensationally beat Tomas Salek with a first-round TKO to win the vacant IBF International Heavyweight championship with Tyson Fury watching on - the Gyspy King made a dramatic entrance in typical Fury fashion.

It could've been a different story for Chalmers as he was rumoured to be close to fighting Tommy Fury, half-brother of Heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, but a bout never came to fruition. In his pre-fight press conference, Chalmers didn't want to speculate about his ambitions in the four corners of the boxing ring but got off to a good start with a win over the 32-year-old.
