Two months after the Supreme Court stayed a controversial order that made it mandatory for eateries to declare the names of their owners and staff, the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has issued a similar directive.

“Mahaul theek nahi hai. Hifazat kare…Jo bhi community stickers laga rahe hai apne mazhab ke, usse bhi kahin na kahin problem ho raha hain. Hum threat mein hain (The environment is not good. Be careful…whoever is putting religious stickers, that too is creating a problem somewhere. We are under threat).”

In view of the security during the upcoming 'Kanwar Yatra', the Haridwar district administration has banned the flying of drones by the public in Har ki Paidi and its surrounding areas from July 4 to July 17. Read further on Dynamite News:

DEHRADUN: The fortnight-long kanwar yatra has left behind approximately 30,000 metric tonnes (MT) of garbage in Haridwar. From shoes and slippers to plastic mattresses and clothes, all kinds of items are scattered around the city, especially around the ghats.

LUCKNOW: On his way back from Delhi to Lucknow on Monday afternoon, chief minister Yogi Adityanath took an aerial survey of the Kanwar Yatra routes.

MEERUT: Senior officials on Sunday showered flower petals on kanwariyas in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut district. Kanwariyas (devotees of Lord Shiva) collect water from Ganga river at Haridwar, Uttarakhand to offer at Shiva temples in their areas as part of the Kanwar Yatra.
