Toyota WRC boss Latvala is making a rare return to the WRC for his home event to pilot a fourth Toyota GR Yaris entry.

Rovanpera produced arguably his most crushing WRC victory of his career to date to defeat Hyundai’s Thierry Neuville by 46.5s on Estonia’s fast gravel roads.

The Toyota driver managed to cut into team-mate Sebastien Ogier’s lead on Saturday afternoon after starring in extreme wet conditions on the day’s final stage.

The eight-time world champion came through challenging damp and muddy conditions to preserve his lead, although Ogier's overnight advantage over championship leader Rovanpera was cut by 0.7s to 22.1s.

The Penrite-backed team made a strong start to the Gen3 era, lead driver Reynolds scoring a pole and podium in Newcastle, followed by another podium in Perth.
