Sophie Laing from Cumbernauld was sat in the rear seat when the two cars collided near the Gartcosh junction last Saturday. She was rushed to hospital but sadly she could not be saved.

UPDATE: Angel Brown has been traced safely. The four teenagers are all missing in the Lanarkshire area - Motherwell, Cumbernauld and Wishaw - with police releasing three separate appeals for the youngsters.

A COLLEGE campus and shops have been evacuated due to a gas leak which has affected an entire town.

The alarm was raised this morning and the town college, job centre and Royal Mail sorting office were all evacuated as fire crews and gas engineers were called in.
