VISAKHAPATNAM: Andhra Pradesh has moved past the peak of the third wave of Covid-19 a fortnight ago. The state has well withstood the now-dominant Omicron variant as the surge has plateaued within a matter of six weeks.

VISAKHAPATNAM: Andhra Pradesh reported 675 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, taking the cumulative caseload to 23,14,502. The toll increased to 14,705 as three more patients succumbed to the pandemic. One patient each died in Chittoor, Krishna and Visakhapatnam districts.
