VISAKHAPATNAM: Andhra Pradesh education officials are gearing up for the UDISE+ (Unified District Information System for Education Plus) 2021-22. The data can be furnished between May 1 and 10. UDISE was initiated in 2012-13 by integrating DISE for elementary education and SEMIS for secondary education. It is one of the largest information management systems on school education in the country.
Data will be collected from the nearly 64,000 private and government schools in Andhra Pradesh. The system will provide information on vital parameters relating to students, teachers and infrastructure at all levels.
From gross enrollment, transition rates, gender parity index and dropout rates to toilet, library, and other facilities at schools, the UDISE reports highlight key insights on the status of school education.
The data collated from the schools as part of UDISE 2021-22 will be validated at various stages to ensure its authenticity. The education department has recently conducted a state-level orientation workshop on UDISE in Vijayawada. The reference for data collection for this fresh round of data collection will be September 30, 2021.
According to the state officials, data will be collected for schools, teachers, enrollment and vocational education as per the data capture format (DCF) uploaded on the website. The DCF has been revised to include certain features of Samagra Shiksha, namely, pre-primary related information, school safety, transport and incentives for children. Furthermore, separate DCFs have been designed depending on the school category for ease of data entry and usage by the schools.
