Yak milk has been a part of Himalayan region diet for centuries. In parts of India like Sikkim and Ladakh, yak herders have depended on this rich milk to be strong, warm, and healthy. Now people across many other regions are also including yak milk in their diet as well.
Yak milk is unique as it is more fatty and rich in protein than the ordinary cow milk. It is also high in omega-3 fatty acids, calcium and bioactive substances that are helpful in immunity, digestion and well being.
