Have you always dreamed of dining at a Michelin star restaurant but are put off by the price?
Ireland has a total of 18 Michelin star restaurants, four two-star restaurants - Aimsir, Chapter One, Liath and Patrick Guilbaud - and 14 one-star restaurants.
While some of these restaurants cost hundreds of euro for the dining experience, not all may not be out of your budget. One Michelin star restaurant in Kilkenny costs just €45 per person for three courses.
These are the prices of all the Michelin star restaurants in Ireland to see if there are any within your budget for a special occasion:
Aimsir - Celbridge, Kildare
Aimsir serve a single set menu of around 18 individual servings coming in at €210 per person.
Chapter One - Dublin 1
The four-course dinner menu at Chapter One comes in at € 135 or you can choose the tasting menu for € 170 per person.
Liath - Blackrock, Dublin
Liath offers one tasting menu for diners at €180 per person for dinner.
Patrick Guilbaud - Dublin 2
Prices at Patrick Guilbaud for a two-course meal start at €110 all the way up to an eight-course tasting menu for €235 per person.
Aniar - Galway City
Aniar serves a tasting menu consisting of 20 dishes for €129 per person.
Bastible - Dublin 8
The price for the set menu at Bastible is €80 per person which is made up of six courses plus snacks.
Bastion - Kinsale, Cork
Bastion serves a set tasting menu with prices coming in at around €130 per person.
Campagne - Kilkenny
This price for the three-course dinner menu at Campagne is €73 per person but you can avail of the early bird menu for just €45 per person.
Chestnut - Ballydehob, Cork
Chestnut offers two menus with the signature tasting menu coming in at €140 per person or the shorter five-course tasting menu at €70 per person.
dede - Baltimore, Cork
The price for the tasting dinner menu at dede comes in at €125 per person.
Glover's Alley - Dublin 2
The a la carte menu at Glover's Alley starts at €90 for three courses, €105 for the four-course Surprise Menu and €150 for the seven- course Glovers Alley Classics.
However, their eight-course set tasting menu costs €130 per person
House - Ardmore, Waterford
The eight-course tasting menu at House is €130 per person.
Ichigo Ichie - Cork
This Japanese restaurant Ichigo Ichie offers three set menus to choose from. The Nagomi and Sekitei menus both come in at €120 per person and the Miyabi menu, where diners are seated at the chef’s counter, costs €135 per person.
Lady Helen - Mount Juliet Estate, Kilkenny
Lady Helen offers three menus for diners, starting at €99 for the three-course menu, €125 for the seven-course tasting menu and €145 for the nine-course tasting menu.
Loam - Galway
The tasting menu at Loam consists of seven courses and costs €85 per person.
The Oak Room - Adare Manor, Limerick
The signature menu at The Oak Room in Adare Manor costs €140 per person.
Variety Jones - Dublin 8
Variety Jones offers a chef's choice sharing menu with six courses for €80 per person.
Wild Honey Inn - Lisdoonvarna, Clare
The Wild Honey Inn offers a seasonal set menu and does not advertise prices on their website but diners on TripAdvisor have stated that the cost is €90 per person.
