Tragedy as woman in her 60s dies after serious crash

Kia Volkswagen Lancashire Constabulary Accrington

A woman has died following a serious crash in Accrington.

The incident, which involved a Kia Ceed and a Volkswagen Golf, happened on the A56 bypass at the junction with Sandy Lane just after 6pm on Saturday (June 3).

Lancashire Constabulary say the passenger of the Kia, a woman in her 60s, was taken to hospital for treatment but sadly died from her injuries.
