Thunderstorms to hit Glasgow as weather warning issued for west coast of Scotland

A yellow weather warning for heavy rain and wind has been issued for the west coast of Scotland, as Glasgow prepares for stormy weather this week.

Forecasters at the Met Office have predicted thunder, lightning and heavy rain will hit Glasgow by 4pm on Tuesday, November 8. The meteorologists have also warned of downpours causing possible disruption on roads, and urged motorists to be aware of this before setting off.

The Met Office has told people to expect "bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer, spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer", and "flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely."
