How do you react when you find out something gross about your partner? TikToker Kirstin (lil_tachy) had to face this question in her last relationship. The Ohio resident is well known for her TikTok storytime series about this ex, so her followers knew about this post’s secret. However, it always triggered questions, and she finally took to the platform to answer them in a post that got over 11.7 million views.
In the video, she cheekily dropped the bombshell on her new viewers while laying the context. She said, “Anytime someone finds out that I was engaged to a man who didn’t wipe his a-s, they always ask me the same three questions, right? 1. How did you find out? 2. Didn’t he stink? And 3. Why the f—k didn’t you leave once you found out?”
The first hint of the problem was when she was living with her friend. One day, her friend allegedly told her, “Hey, I just wanted to let you know that we keep finding sh-t in the toilet, unflushed, no toilet paper. And it’s not me. I don’t think that it’s you. I know it’s not my man. And so that only leaves your man. I’m so sorry to have to tell you this, but he is not wiping his a-s, girl.”
The blindness of love
“I’m young, dumb, and I believe that I’m in love. And I found the man I’m gonna spend the rest of my life with. And so I brush it off,” Kirstin said. She figured it was a plumbing issue or that someone else was to blame. After they got engaged, they moved in together, and Kirstin alleged that she started noticing the same things. Unflushed toilets, no toilet paper. She still tried to dismiss it. However, she then noticed more.

“I start finding out that he’s opting out of other forms of hygiene,” she claimed. “Like his toothbrush isn’t moving, the soaps in the shower are not moving, the towels aren’t moving unless I use them. He’s not brushing his teeth. He’s not showering. Yuck.” It should be noted that this is Kirstin’s version of events and so it can’t be verified.
Kirstin has shared a lot of stories of her ex, who once even threw a tantrum when she tried to get his dream guitar for Christmas. She noted that she finally broke up with him when he almost punched her in the face. After that, she was on the phone with his mother, venting about the relationship, when the mother made a startling admission.
Kirsten recalled, “At a point in our conversation, his mom says to me, unprompted by the way, ‘Kirsten, the man can’t even wipe his own a-s.’” When Kirsten asked why she would say that, the mother admitted it was an ongoing issue from when he lived at home. Kirsten was left stunned, asking, “So you were gonna let me marry him? You were gonna let me marry him knowing that information?”
The comments section was filled with everything from jokes to shock and confusion. One user pointed out that his actions have crazy health implications. They wrote, “Unhygienic men are the main reason why women are always having UTI’s btw.” According to Initial, washrooms are breeding grounds for bacteria like E. coli, Salmonella, and MRSA. Not wiping properly after a bowel movement can lead to skin irritations, rashes, and a much higher risk of infections.
For women, wiping from front to back is crucial to avoid spreading bacteria to the vagina, which can cause yeast infections and UTIs. Additionally, Initial pointed out that open sewage from not flushing will not only smell bad; it attracts pests like flies that can carry disease-causing germs.
In her video, Kirsten admitted that he sometimes smelled like “rotten chicken” after sweating, which she excused as just a “weird” male trait, since he didn’t smell bad per se.
