St. Lucie County Hit Hard By Hurricane Milton

St. Lucie County, located on Florida's east coast, recently experienced a series of devastating tornadoes and severe weather conditions as Hurricane Milton swept through the area. The county Administrator, George Landry, reported that within a 90-minute window, multiple tornadoes touched down, leading to approximately 900 distress calls for assistance.

Emergency response teams, including all three police departments in the county, various fire districts, and 911 dispatchers, worked tirelessly to address the urgent needs of residents affected by the natural disaster. Despite their efforts, the impact of the tornadoes was significant, with at least six reported deaths in St. Lucie County.
