Women who claim to have received sexually-explicit phone calls from Jared Leto believe he may have invented a character for even more lewd discussions.
The 54-year-old singer-and-actor's alleged sexual misconduct is the subject of a new BBC documentary, Jared Leto: Hollywood's Dark Secret, and five females - four of whom were teenagers at the time - have detailed the strange and "uncomfortable" conversations they had on the phone with the Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman.
A woman identified as Etta was 16 when she met Leto after visiting a modelling agency in Los Angeles with her mother in 2014, and he asked for her email address to invite them to his Oscars party after taking an interest in her career ambitions.
She said: "He did email me and then very quickly it turns into this sexual thing on the phone."
Etta alleged Leto was aware of her age but still asked questions including, "Are you a virgin? Do you have any kinks?"
She added: "He did at least once mention him and I having sex at some point."
Etta felt "nervous", "anxious" and "uncomfortable", but struggled to put up boundaries, and when Leto allegedly asked if he could pass on her number to a friend, whohe suggested could help with her modelling ambitions, she agreed.
The friend, who she knew as 'Christian', frequently called her and asked her to shoot porn, insisting her age didn't matter.
She said both Leto and 'Christian' asked very similar questions so she "would not be surprised" if they were the same person.
Two of the other women who alleged they received similar phone calls also confirmed they were called by other men at the same time and also believe they could have been the Masters of the Universe actor playing characters.
Meanwhile, another woman told of how she stopped going to concerts following an encounter with Leto at a music festival when she was 14.
Taylor and her mother had gone to get an autograph after watching Thirty Seconds to Mars perform in 2005, and when the teenager held out the t-shirt she was wearing for Leto to sign, she expected him to write on her arm or across her stomach.
She said: "Instead he chose to sign my shirt across my breasts, and he told me 'you have a nice rack'.
"He was asking his bodyguard to go ahead and take me backstage, he didn't even ask me if I wanted to go."
The woman - who insisted it was "very obvious" she was a teenager as she was very short and had braces on her teeth - claimed her mother confronted the Kings and Queens hitmaker about his comment and he was defiant.
She recalled: "He looked at her and said 'it's still a nice rack'. He just did not care.
"[That moment] really altered my life… there was nothing I could do about what happened to me."
Despite repeated attempts to contact Leto for the BBC documentary, he has not responded to the allegations.
