Ross County issue stern Celtic ticket warning after staff 'threatened and intimidated'

Ross County issue stern Celtic ticket warning after staff 'threatened and intimidated'

ROSS COUNTY have issued a stern warning over tickets for the upcoming match against Celtic.

Ange Postecoglou's side head to Dingwall on August 6 for their second league match of the season.

However, away fans have been warned no tickets will be sold on matchday and any fans attempting to buy seats in the home support sections will be rejected.

Ross County chiefs confirmed in a club statement that a number of tickets purchased by "suspected Celtic supporters" for the home allocation are being cancelled.

And now, only those with a ticketing history for Ross County home matches will be allowed to purchase tickets.

It comes as the club also slammed "disappointing and unacceptable" treatment of ticket office staff over the Celtic fixture.

A statement claims staff have been "threatened and intimidated" by some individuals attempting to falsely purchase tickets.

A Ross County statement on the club website reads: "Ross County would like to put out a very clear message at this stage that any Celtic supporters attempting to purchase tickets for the home end will be refused. Those who try to gain entry to the home end will also be rejected.

"We are already cancelling numerous purchased tickets by suspected Celtic supporters for the home end and refunds have been processed.

"We need to be very clear that only those who have a ticketing history for home matches will be sold tickets.

"NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD ON THE DAY OF THE MATCH

"It is disappointing and unacceptable that our Staff have been threatened and intimidated by some individuals attempting to falsely purchase tickets, and this shall not be tolerated."
