After receiving a significant increase in playing time, Golden State Warriors rookie Jonathan Kuminga rattled off eight-straight performances with double-figures in scoring before the All-Star break.
In the Warriors’ first appearance after the All-Star break on Thursday against the Portland Trail Blazers, the No.7 overall pick from the 2021 NBA draft picked up right where he left off.
Kuminga extended his streak of double-figure scoring efforts with 17 points on 3-of-7 shooting from the field. The 19-year-old forward got to the line throughout the contest, hitting 10 of his 12 attempts from the free-throw stripe. Kuminga added eight rebounds, two blocks, an assist and a steal in 27 minutes off the bench.
