Road closures have been announced for the upcoming Christmas lights switch-on event in Mansfield. The annual event features a variety of attractions for all ages and is one of several Christmas lights events held across Nottinghamshire.
This year’s event in Mansfield town centre will be held on Sunday, November 27. Nottinghamshire County Council has now announced traffic restrictions which will be in place from 8am until 8pm on the day of the event.
The restrictions will see several roads being closed off to traffic. Roads affected include West Gate and Market Street. Below is the full list of road restrictions:

West Gate, Mansfield – From its junction with St John Street to its junction with Leeming Street.
Church Street, Mansfield – From its junction with Leeming Street to its junction with White Hart Street.
Regent Street, Mansfield – From its junction with West Gate to its junction with West Gate.
Leeming Street, Mansfield – From its junction with Toothill Lane to its junction with Church Street.
Market Place, Mansfield – For its whole length.
Stockwell Gate, Mansfield – From its junction with Market Place for a distance of 245 metres in a south-westerly direction.
Exchange Row, Mansfield – For its whole length.
Market Street, Mansfield – For its whole length.
Queen Street–Market Street Link, Mansfield – For its whole length.
