Reading could be handed a double fitness boost ahead of the Championship clash against Nottingham Forest this weekend.
Midfielders Alen Halilovic and Josh Laurent are expected tor return against Forest on Saturday, which comes as a big boost for the relegation-threatened side.
Halilovic has not played since the FA Cup defeat at Kidderminster Harriers back in January because of a hamstring injury while Laurent has missed the past five matches because of an ankle problem.
The Royals travel to the City Ground having won two of their last four games under new boss Paul Ince, after sacking Veljko Paunovic following a run of 12 matches in all competitions without a win.
But they have lost their last two games against Blackpool and Millwall and come into this clash just five points away from the relegation places.
Reding could be bouyed by the returning Halilovic and Laurent, however.
First-team coach Michael Gilkes said after the Millwall defeat: "He [Halilovic] is doing very well and he's coming back to fitness now.
"He has got a fitness program in place to start playing games."
Laurent, meanwhile, has been out since February and Gilkes added that the midfielder was scheduled to rejoin training this week.
"We're looking to get all the players back involved, him (Laurent) also," said Gilkes. "His program is going very well.
"He should hopefully be joining training this week so there is competition for places and we all have to be in it together.
"Nothing has really changed for us, we just want to get more positive results."
