A commemorative 50p designed for Brexit has sold for £10,000, with others thought be in circulation.
The unique 50p coin sold for 20,000 times its value after being listed on eBay by a Scottish seller. Officially titled as the 'Withdrawal from the European Union' piece - it commemorates the UK's exit from the EU and was launched on January 31, 2020.
Described as being a 'very rare find' by the lucky seller from Glasgow, its face bears the words: "Peace, Prosperity and Friendship With All Nations".

Other Scots are being urged to examine their coins as Change Checker estimates that there are ten million more still in circulation, reports Glasgow Live. The collection website explained: " On the 31st January 2020 the United Kingdom left the European Union – over three and half years after the Vote.
"This departure is possibly one of the most historically significant events to happen in modern history and to commemorate this day, The Royal Mint issued this Withdrawal from the European Union 50p.
"It is the only official United Kingdom coin to commemorate the occasion.
"The reverse design features messaging ‘Peace, Prosperity and Friendship with all nations’ alongside the official withdrawal date, 31 January 2020."
