A pensioner was found dead on a Glasgow-bound bus after falling off his seat on Monday afternoon.
Eyewitnesses believe the man was sleeping on board the Citylink service from Edinburgh, when he fell from his seat as the vehicle was at Swinton Roundabout in Baillieston. Horrified passengers soon discovered the man was dead and alerted the driver.
An eyewitness told the Daily Record : “The guy fell off his seat at a roundabout and that’s when people realised something was wrong as they thought he had just been sleeping.”

Emergency crews were called to the roundabout in the east end of the city on Monday afternoon, where the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police Scotland are not treating the death as suspicious.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Police were made aware of a 69-year-old man having taken unwell on a bus at the Swinton Roundabout, Baillieston, Glasgow, around 4.45pm on Monday, October 17.
“Emergency services attended, however the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
