North Carolina woman breaks down at Goodwill after recognizing her own artwork on a jacket. She made it by hand for a friend: ‘I’m calling mom’

A North Carolina woman said she discovered a jacket she had hand-painted as a gift for a friend hanging on a rack at a thrift store, according to a video she posted on TikTok. The creator, who goes by Emily (@emilychristineee1), shared the moment with her sister, who appeared to be filming the encounter. The video has since received over 44.5 million views.

In the video, Emily is seen browsing a rack of clothes while wearing a maroon T-shirt that reads “I OVER REACTING.” On-screen text states, “When your thrifting and your sister finds a jacket she hand painted for one of her friends.” Emily then pulls out a black denim jacket with white painted designs and says, “Peace.”
