Paulo Dybala has finally confirmed his upcoming Juventus exit amid speculation linking the forward with a summer move to Manchester United.
The Argentine international will depart Turin after seven trophy-laden seasons, including five straight Serie A titles and four Coppa Italias. Following months of speculation, Juventus decided against offering the 28-year-old a new contract following the January arrival of Dusan Vlahovic.
Announcing his exit on Sunday, Dybala posted on social media: “Tomorrow will be my last match with this shirt, it's hard to imagine, but it will be our last goodbye. It will not be easy, but I will enter the field with a smile and my head held high, knowing that I have given everything for you.”
The Red Devils are said to have held a meeting with Dybala's representatives last month, with the view to agreeing an Old Trafford reunion with his former Juventus team-mate Ronaldo. The pair spent three seasons together in Italy, but things weren't always too friendly between the two.
Dybala and Ronaldo pushed each other to reach triple figures in the goalscoring charts, but the soon-to-be free agent has spoken highly of the United legend's desire to win. However, this drive could also lead the veteran striker to become 'difficult to deal with' in defeat.
Dybala told Twitch in April last year: "Ronaldo and I are challenging each other to reach 100 goals with Juventus. I need only one, while he still needs three. He always wants to win, even in training, and if he loses he becomes difficult to deal with for a few minutes."
