Novak Djokovic

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic experienced a minor incident following his second-round win at the Internazionali BNL d’Italia in Rome, Italy. The 36-year-old Serbian was signing autographs for fans when he was unexpectedly struck in the head by a water bottle. Tournament organizers confirmed the incident, assuring that Djokovic's well-being was not a cause for concern.

According to officials, Djokovic promptly returned to his hotel where he received necessary care, including the application of an ice pack. The organizers clarified that the incident was accidental, sharing video evidence that depicted the water bottle falling out of a spectator's backpack.

In response to the incident, Djokovic took to social media to express gratitude for the supportive messages from his fans. He reassured everyone that he was doing well and resting comfortably, anticipating his upcoming match on Sunday.

Despite the unexpected occurrence, Djokovic managed to secure a convincing victory over French player Corentin Moutet with a score of 6-3 6-1. His next opponent is set to be Chile's Alejandro Tabilo in the upcoming match scheduled for Sunday.
