The North Carolina delegation to the Democratic National Convention has unanimously voted to support Vice President Kamala Harris as the party’s presidential nominee. The decision was made during an emergency meeting held on Sunday night, where the delegation discussed strategies to build on President Joe Biden's success and unite for the upcoming election.
North Carolina Democratic Party Chair Anderson Clayton expressed the delegation's excitement in endorsing Vice President Harris for the presidency. Clayton highlighted the contrast in the upcoming election, referring to it as a choice between a prosecutor and a felon, experience and extremism.
The delegation emphasized their confidence in North Carolina's infrastructure and organizing capabilities, stating their belief that Vice President Harris will secure victory in November and become the next President of the United States.
In addition to endorsing Vice President Harris, the delegation also extended their gratitude to President Biden for his service.
