Wendy’s Is Selling 10 Chicken Nuggets for $1.99 — But There’s a Catch

Wendy’s Is Selling 10 Chicken Nuggets for $1.99 — But There’s a Catch

Ten Wendy’s chicken nuggets for less than $2 sounds like one of the better fast-food deals still available in 2026. And the offer is real: Wendy’s is currently advertising a 10-piece order of Classic or Spicy Nuggets for $1.99.

But don’t walk into Wendy’s with exactly two dollars and expect to walk out with 10 nuggets.

The deal comes with several conditions, including one particularly important piece of fine print: you have to buy something else to get the $1.99 price.

The $1.99 Nuggets Require Another Purchase

According to Wendy’s current offers, Wendy’s Rewards members can get a 10-piece order of nuggets for $1.99 with any purchase.

The good news for bargain hunters is that Wendy’s says there is no minimum purchase requirement. That means you don’t have to spend $5, $10 or some other predetermined amount before unlocking the nugget discount.

That’s where this promotion can still provide genuine value.

If you were already going to Wendy’s, pair the nuggets with an inexpensive menu item you actually wanted rather than adding an entire meal solely to qualify. Menu prices and availability vary by location, so check your restaurant’s current options before ordering.

You Also Need the Wendy’s App and a Rewards Account

The second catch is that this isn’t a price available to everyone who walks up to the counter.

Wendy’s says the promotion is a digital offer available to Wendy’s Rewards members. App download and account registration are required, and the offer must be redeemed through the Wendy’s app.

Both Classic and Spicy Nuggets qualify.

If you don’t already use restaurant loyalty programs, decide whether downloading another app and creating an account is worth the savings to you. Someone who already has Wendy’s Rewards has much less friction between them and the discounted nuggets.

Don’t Assume You Can Stack It With Another Coupon

There’s another limitation worth knowing before building a bargain order around several Wendy’s promotions.

Wendy’s says coupons and offers generally can’t be combined with other offers on the same order. That can make a difference if another promotion in your account would save you more money.

Before automatically selecting the $1.99 nuggets, compare your available offers.

For example, saving several dollars on a larger meal you were already planning to purchase could potentially beat the savings from discounted nuggets. The best coupon isn’t necessarily the one advertising the lowest-priced item; it’s the one that reduces the total cost of food you actually intended to buy.

The Deal Is Available Daily — For Now

Supply Chain Realities: What Goes Into a Budget Nugget?

Unlike some fast-food promotions limited to one day of the week, Wendy’s says the $1.99 10-piece nugget offer is available daily for a limited time.

The promotion is currently scheduled to run through September 27, 2026, according to published promotion details.

That means there’s little reason to make a special trip just because you’re afraid of missing the deal today.

If you’re already heading to Wendy’s before the promotion ends, that’s the ideal time to use it. Driving across town or buying food you weren’t planning to purchase simply to “save” on nuggets can quickly defeat the point of hunting for a bargain.

Delivery Can Change the Math

Be particularly careful if you’re thinking about having the nuggets delivered.

Wendy’s delivery guidance says customers don’t currently qualify for in-app offers on delivery orders, even when ordering delivery through Wendy’s app or website. Wendy’s also notes that delivery orders can involve delivery fees, service fees and tips, and food prices may be higher than restaurant prices.

That makes pickup or in-restaurant redemption a much better fit for a promotion built around saving a few dollars.

Spending several dollars on delivery-related charges to access a $1.99 nugget promotion isn’t much of a grocery-budget victory.

The Best Strategy Is to Keep the Rest of the Order Cheap

The $1.99 Wendy’s nugget promotion can be a genuinely good deal if you understand what you’re signing up for.

You need a Wendy’s Rewards account, the Wendy’s app and another purchase, but there is no stated minimum purchase amount. The offer is available at participating U.S. locations for a limited time, and you generally can’t combine it with another offer.

For the biggest savings, don’t let the promotion persuade you to buy a $10 meal you never intended to order.

Instead, use the deal when you’re already going to Wendy’s, pair it with the least expensive qualifying item you actually want, skip unnecessary add-ons, and compare it with other offers in your account before checking out. That’s how a headline-grabbing $1.99 promotion can remain a bargain after you reach the register.

Would you download an app and make another purchase to get 10 Wendy’s nuggets for $1.99, or is that too much fine print for a fast-food deal?
