Liam Neeson has been named as the highest-grossing Irish movie star.
The study by Irish casino Slotbox.com analysed box office figures for the top Irish movie stars to see who has grossed the most from their leading roles.
It found that Neeson has grossed €5,913,868,915 worldwide in total across his 52 leading roles, with each film grossing €113,728,248 on average.

His most well-known roles include Bryan Mills in the Taken series and Qui-Gon Jinn in the Star Wars Prequels.
Michael Fassbender takes second on the list, grossing a worldwide total of €2,338,804,571 across his 21 leading roles.
This averages €111,371,646 per movie. Fassbender’s most iconic roles include Magneto in the X-Men franchise, Bobby Sands in Hunger, and Steve Jobs in the 2015 biopic.
Coming in third is Pierce Brosnan, who has seen a total gross of €2,234,116,046 worldwide across his 26 leading roles.
This averages €85,927,540 per title. Some of his most popular roles include James Bond and Sam in the first Mamma Mia movie.
Colin Farrell came in fourth with a total worldwide gross of €2,232,384,576 over his 27 leading roles, averaging €82,680,910 a movie.
Holywood man Jamie Dornan came in fifth who has grossed €1,356,194,945 in total worldwide across his eight leading roles. He has the highest average gross per film on the list with €169,524,368.
A spokesperson from Slotbox said: “It’s great to see a mixture of young actors and veteran actors in this list, showcasing that the future is bright for Irish film, and that there is much more to come for the likes of Saoirse Ronan who has already seen 13 leading roles before the age of 30.”
Then coming in sixth place to tenth in the highest-grossing Irish movie stars are Kenneth Branagh who has grossed €1,109,238,637 worldwide, Daniel Day-Lewis with €764,403,544, Saoirse Ronan with €598,013,997, Cillian Murphy with €355,625,576 and Domhnall Gleeson with €191,295,906.
