Lanarkshire stores offering bag of 'big brand' shopping for just 1p

Five Lanarkshire grocery stores are offering up a phenomenal one pence Big Brand Bundle on a bag of shopping via an online app today and tomorrow.

The penny promotion will run on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 18 and 19 via the Snappy Shopper app at the Costcutter store, Cadzow Bridge, Hamilton, Keystore Coatbridge, Day Today High Blantyre, My Local Greenhills, East Kilbride and Nisa Bellshill.

The Big Brand Bundle, launched by the home delivery app, features an array of popular household brands without the premium price tag.

It will cost one penny and will include popular items with a combined retail value of £10.

The bundle includes a 1.75l bottle of diet coke, share bag of Haribo starmix/tangfastic, 140g Maltesers, Pot Noddle, Tetley's tea bags 40 pack, six pack of crisps (for example Walkers or Golden Wonder) packet of McVities chocolate digestives.

Over the last month Snappy Shopper retailers have offered 'penny lunch bundles' including bread, sadnwich fillers, crisps and fruit to thousands of families across the UK. The bundle has been described as "so helpful for people struggling with the cost of living."

Scott Campbell, Snappy Shopper co-founder told Lanarkshire Live : "Local retailers and their communities have always been at the heart of everything we do at Snappy Shopper.

"As the cost of living crisis has escalated over the past few months, we've been committed to doing our utmost to lend that helping hand, alongside our retailers to our customers who might be struggling to cope with rising costs.

"We want to enable customers to treat themselves to the brands they love without paying a premium and that's exactly what this bundle does."

Customers can download the Snappy Shopper app or visit the website and enter their postcode to find their nearest participating store. A small delivery cost will apply.
