There is good news for those with a sweet tooth in Northern Ireland as a popular American doughnut company is set to open next year.
Krispy Kreme is reportedly entering the Northern Irish market as part of their expansion plans across the island of Ireland.
It is reported that the doughnut and coffee chain will set up a hub in Belfast after opening its Irish factory in Co Kildare in 2021.

While it is not confirmed when fans can expect to see Krispy Kreme's iconic glazed doughnuts on shelves in Northern Ireland, a spokesperson for the company said they will keep customers up to date with any news regarding the expansion.
In a statement to the Sunday Independent, a Krispy Kreme spokesperson said: "We can’t wait to bring the joy of Krispy Kreme to Northern Ireland and will update our fans when we can share more news.
"We are also bringing joy to more of Ireland over the coming months, watch out for more details coming soon. Our next Krispy Kreme shop opening will be at Carrickmines on January 31."
Last month, it was announced that Krispy Kreme is expanding to the west of Ireland, as well as increasing the number of branches in Dublin, Louth and Kildare.
Part of this expansion includes new partnerships with Applegreen and The Plaza Group. This will see Krispy Kreme products sold in nine Applegreen locations and four Plaza garages.
